Google Expands AdWords Into Video
The new program will help small companies place video ads on YouTube video.
Got video advertising spots? Google wants you to place them on YouTube videos.
The Web giant launched its Adwords for Video program yesterday, with an announced on the YouTube blog.
The AdWords platform lets small companies create, target, schedule, and monitor video campaigns. According to the YouTube announcement:
On average, we’ve found that YouTube video ads drive a 20 percent increase in traffic to your website and a 5 percent increase in searches for your business.
To encourage new AdWords customers, Google is offering them a $75 credit, for a total of $50 million in free advertising.

The company also offers several business toolkits and programs to help and encourage businesses to expand their video advertising on YouTube. —Caitlin Berens
